A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.

I raised 3 kids as a single mother while working on a degree in Data Management and Data Analytics. All 3 are now awesome adults. I'm an avid DIY- er. I can tile, sweat pipes, carpentry, and build a deck or a fence, just to name a few (currently putting hardie siding on the house).. My youngest child was born with Arnold Chari Malformation. Dr's said he would never be able to live on his own and be in a wheelchair. I didn't like that answer. When they say it can't be done..prove them wrong.. He graduated high school with an associates degree in computer science. Win! I was adopted by an abused pitbull. He showed up one day and refused to leave. Add dog training to the list of skills, food aggression broken, loose leash walking, heal, and many more tricks. 3 big dogs in my household along with 7 chickens , 1 10 yr old duck, and the cat who rules them all. Was married to a delusional bipolar for 12 yrs - fairly skilled at crisis management . I've worked for a SaaS reservation company for 10 yrs this month - technical support specialist. I've been told I have more jobs than a recruitment website (I think that was a compliment..I hope) I know several programming languages the newest being python, even coded in cobol back in the day. I've had courses in machine learning. I'm a certified project manager and certified web developer. I like puzzles and solving problems. I've taught swimming lessons for about 40 yrs along with adaptive aquatics - water therapy, parents and tots, adults / aquaphobic, and water aerobics. I've also taught CPR, had first responder medical certification, and volunteer first aid for Red Cross at races and other events.

I'm currently the Technical Director and Lecturer at the MIT Game Lab (https://gamelab.mit.edu ). We teach students and researchers about game design and computer game development. We also help researchers and professionals use games and game design to further their own research and projects. This process usually involved "purposeful" game design, where the end goal is something more than pure enjoyment. This requires me to quickly understand what someone needs, even if that means learning new technology, science, or sociopolitical concepts.
I have also been a software engineer inside and outside the games industry. I've done a bit of everything, from AI to underwater robotics. I can advise on software architecture and all of the hip new AI techniques (e.g. ChatGPT), as well as providing emergency debugging assistance.
Finally, having worked with well over a hundred software teams (student and professional), I can advise individuals and managers on team dynamics and project planning.
