Dr. Leo Kormanik “treats others as he would like to be treated.” As a former elite distance runner and 2012 Olympic Trials marathon qualifier with a personal record of 2:18, his career as an athlete was littered with injuries. Due to these setbacks, he dedicated himself to learning the best ways to treat and prevent injuries both swiftly and effectively, therefore shortening recovery time for the athlete, and preventing future setbacks. Dr. Leo is recognized by the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner (CCSP). This means he is one of a select group of chiropractic providers capable of treating athletes at the highest level of professional sports. He has also volunteered as a physician for USA Track and Field and USA Gymnastics at numerous events, including many Olympic Trials and World Championships. In 2016, he completed an internship at the Olympic Training Center headquarters helping to prep the various USA teams and individual athletes before the Rio Olympics. Dr. Leo has also been selected numerous times as a team chiropractor for multiple international track and field championships, including the Tokyo and Paris Olympic Trials for the marathon and Track & Field and 2023 PanAm games in Chile. Dr. Leo attended Life University in Atlanta, GA (2008-2011) where he earned a Doctor of Chiropractic degree and a Masters in Sports Injury Management. Born in Akron, OH and a graduate and Hall of Fame member of Malone University in Canton, OH, he chose to bring his passion for performance health home to northeast Ohio by opening Ohio Sports Chiropractic in 2012. In his private practice, Dr. Leo consistently treats professional athletes in various sports. Some of his patients are UFC fighters and WWE wrestlers; NHL, MLB, NFL and NBA players, NCAA Division I All-American athletes in swimming, running and more. Dr. Leo is also a thought leader and content creator with his YouTube Running Rehab page and his podcast "Mind Body Marathon". On these platforms, he explores ways to effectively rehab your injuries, improve your performance and how to optimize your health. Always a student, Dr. Leo is always open to learning new techniques and exploring research and new schools of thought to bring his patients the most innovative, individualized and effective treatment possible. When he isn't out for a run, treating an athlete, or learning something new, you can find him spending time with his family. Or off on an adventure anywhere the road may take him.

For the last 20 years I help people find the causes of their symptoms so they can increase their quality of life. More and more people want to know why they feel the way they do rather than mask the symptoms. I run a practice in Texas that focuses on root cause medicine and use a variety of test and therapies to do so.
