Hello! I’m here to help with any advice that I can to help you achieve your dream in becoming a professional pilot. With over 23 years of experience in the aviation industry I would like to offer my services to you! I started my career in Torrance California as a Robinson R22 Helicopter Instructor back in 1999. September 11, 2001 forever changed the shape of the United States and both the commercial and general aviation environments. During that time I had applied to become a helicopter pilot with the U.S. Army. I was accepted and did 8 years as an active duty UH-60 Pilot in a MEDEVAC unit with 3 years combat experience in Iraq, over 200 combat missions, with multiple Air Medals, two of which for achievement. My career in the Army led me to become a contract Instructor for the military teaching Initial Entry Rotary Wing (IERW- basic helicopter flight) at Fort Novosel (formerly Fort Rucker). That was extremely rewarding teaching over 98 candidates, with 100% pass rate, the joy of flight. During my time there I applied for US Customs and Border Protection (CBP). That led me on a very eventful career defending the United States Border using aviation tactics and techniques to intercept and interdict targets / threats. Being a pilot is a very small part of this job. I enjoyed working alongside all Federal Law Enforcement Agencies, State Law Enforcement Agencies, and Local Police. I served along the southwestern border, the southeastern Caribbean area and at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in my 13 years as a Federal Agent. Besides being qualified in defensive tactics and active shooter response techniques as an instructor, I am qualified in over seven airframes in both Rotary Wing and Fixed Wing. During my time at CBP, I used my GI Bill benefits to get my fixed wing add on ratings both private and commercial single engine. I also achieved a 4 year degree in one year using only one year of benefits using the VA. After 13 years in the federal government, I qualified for retirement with both my US Army service of eight years and decided to pursue a career with a major airline. So I decided to take a deferred retirement to the age of 62 for all of my federal time to pursue the last mile stone in my career. I was first interviewed and accepted by a company that flies cargo in the Boeing 747. I went through training passed it with flying colors and learned about aircraft crew, maintenance, and insurance (AMCI)charter aviation. I transition to the 767 where I did some flying for a big box company that everybody probably knows about and also flew troops all around the island of Japan. After doing that for two years, one of the big five major airlines called me and now I am happy piloting Airbus aircraft working for one of the most prominent passenger carriers ever in the United States. I would love to share my experience and help you achieve your dream career in aviation. Please let me know how I can help.

My name is Samuel Kenan and I am a retired Police Sgt of 24 years from West Chester Co. NY. (City of Peekskill) During my Career, I served in the Community Policing unit, Street crime unit, Swat team supervisor, and a first line supervisor as a Patrol Sergeant. In my many years in law enforcement, I have had the unique pleasure of interacting with people from all walks of life in many aspects, both good and bad. A good police officer acts as a servant, a protector, a counselor, social worker, at times even an emergency physician, but most of all a friend to the community in which he or she serves. It would be my privilege if you allow me to answer any of your Law enforcement / community related questions. Thank you, (Ret) Sgt. Samuel B Kenan
