I have taken an interesting career path from Xerox sales / technology training in the 1990s to taking over a small surf shop in Kona Hawaii- Kona boys in 2000. … My business partner Frank Carpenter and I have parlyed that into a real estate portfolio,   while maintaining one of the top tour businesses in Hawaii .We continue to grow our businesses and support our local community. Having been in a leadership position for over 20 years with wide breath of business, acumen and knowledge I am well positioned to help young entrepreneurs, especially in the fields of tourism , real estate, retail and technology .  in addition to maintaining business and community support I’m father of four children and also have expertise in parenting :-) Some of my main interest include surfing, real estate investing spending time with my family, farming and gardening… History and art too! IT consultant for those who need someone who understands IT capabilities, their business, their budget and creates working solutions that fits as closely as possible. I'm straight forward and wanted to make this bio "I make IT work for you" but thought that was too short. I really just find problems and then solve them, whether through IT or SOP, matters little to me. Here's an example. Quite a number of my clients hired me because they didn't know why their company wasn't as profitable as they thought it should be. I looked over books, found and fixed billing issues permanently through changing billing systems to fit better and a few SOP's and made sure the owner knew that the SOP's had to be followed or they would be in the same position in a few years. Securing 200% of previous revenue in < 1 yr without changing anything to the product. This doesn't happen every time, but when it does, it's wonderful to see. And solutions like that aren't a fix to just one thing. The billing software was so well integrated that the IT crew(not my people) had less to do with managing infrastructure, allowing them to work on future product infrastructure, saving them even more money and time!
