For the last 8 years I have grown and sold vegetables and fruit both at home and in a market garden setting. Selling privately, in a CSA, and at farmers markets. I am here to answer questions about garden building, planting, maintenance and life hacks in the edible garden.

Grew up in the small business community in central Canada. After 17 years, I left construction to become a finance professional. 4 years later, I find myself starting a corporation in Canada to promote free market Capitalism. Jacob Haslem is an entrepreneur in the Pest Control Service Industry. Jacob got his start in pest control doing sales door to door in 2000 while still in high school. Since then he’s had a few stops along the way to serve a full time 2 year mission, a two year stint in retail sales and another 2.25 year stint in online marketing sales while putting his wife through college, Jacob has been been working full time in structural pest control. He learned and worked in all facets of the business while at Insect IQ in Modesto, California, and then started his own pest control service business, ActivePro Pest Control in 2017 in Hurricane, Utah. ActivePro was began with the goal of making a comfortable living as a solo-preneur, but when an opportunity came up to start a pest control business in Northern Wyoming, where Jacob was raised, he jumped at the chance. ActivePro had been very successful, and was sold within two months of going to market in January of 2019. Kodiak Pest Control, Inc. (DBA Kodiak Pest & Lawn) was established in April of 2019. Despite being located in a harsh and cold climate with a very small market Kodiak has exceeded growth expectations through the 2020 pandemic and following economic struggles year over year. Kodiak provides much needed professional pest control services to Wyoming’s beautiful Big Horn Basin, as well as the Billings, MT area. Jacob is an expert in structural pest control, brand strategy, marketing, sales, and customer service. He’s also an avid gardener, connoisseur of UFC, lover of music, and most importantly a dedicated father, husband, and man of God.
