Me in 90 Seconds (even if you're a slow reader) At a young age I learned the principles of selling and communication from a master and learned how to sell not only a product or service, but to sell an idea, to communicate, and to sell myself. I entered real estate investing and graduated to oil and gas exploration and acquisitions where, at age 25, I negotiated with billionaires and multi-billion dollar companies (VisionStone). I became a presenter of strategy, ideas, and inspiration. I learned the ins and outs of retail through the beer world with the help of some great people and watched a market change and leave stale companies in the dust while learning the secret inner workings of the restaurant and retail worlds - the value of training, consistency, and passion for making customers happy (Amoskeag & Crossroads). I joined a fintech startup built on the backbone of Heartland (Beyond) to provide vital functions to small and medium sized businesses. I learned the value of culture, of leadership, and saw what happens when those things diminish in the face of financial challenges. I led a team of payment and payroll professionals (KastenBerry) with the goal of putting "service" back in "merchant services". All the brick walls I had banged my head on in the past were my crosses to bear and problems to fix. I learned that a happy company culture and a winning culture aren't necessarily the same thing. Now I leverage my extensive knowledge of payment processing operations, systems, and technology to develop solutions for small and mid-sized businesses. I embrace freedom of opportunity and am able to help my clients on an unprecedented level without the boundaries of a single logo. I've taken risks. I've won, I've lost, I've learned.
