Portugal born and raised, England educated, international expatriate and father. A senior financial services global distribution leader and relationship manager. I connect investors with investment opportunities across different markets and global locations…but it hasn’t always been that way! My first career of 10+ years was in special needs education as a sports, health & fitness teacher of young children and adults with autism, epilepsy, Down syndrome, ADHD and ADD. Upon moving to Asia in 2014 I retrained into my second career. I successfully retrained into financial services, asset and insurance where I could use teaching experience, competitive nature and relationship building skills for business development and sales in large international financial institutions providing insurance, pension investment platforms and asset management. As a result of successes I was given progression opportunities some of which meant relocation. I/we relocated my family 3 times over the last 9 years due to employment - Europe, Asia and USA. As a 10 year old I remember how daunting relocating with my parents was, Portugal to UK, as a young boy , was a huge cultural and language change. I relocated 3 further times with my spouse and young family - UK, Singapore, UK, USA . On several occasions throughout my life I overcame and adapted to cultural, environmental changes. I overcame challenges as both an individual and with my family. Positive state of mind and body goes along way as does advice. I’m proud how my family love travelling and embrace a change now but there were/are plenty of. employment, financial, education, relationship, health challenges along the way which have taught us much.
