Championship Coach and Mentor I have a passion for helping young people succeed in life and for helping young athletes succeed in their sport. I've been a middle and high school swim coach for over seven years and have had the privilege of being a part of several team and individual championships during this time. I've had the opportunity to watch Olympic medalists perform up close and in person, which had a huge impact on how I coach my athletes. I've also written several articles for swimswam.com. In addition to coaching, I spent twelve years as a mentor in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program and have hosted Bible studies with some of the young men that I've coached. If you are the parent of a young athlete and searching for answers on how to help them excel in their sport or other aspects of life I would love to help you. I've also had the privilege of mentoring young athletes through the process of choosing where to continue their careers at the college level and have spent three years as a mentor to college-bound high school seniors through a scholarship program called Tennessee Achieves. If you are a parent of an aspiring college athlete, or even non-athlete, and looking for advice on how to help them find the perfect college I would love to help you. As mentioned earlier I've been a middle and high school swim coach for over seven years. I was able to take a middle school team that was 7th out of nine teams in our county and on the verge of being cut the year before I started to a championship in three seasons. I had the opportunity to establish a team at a brand new high school that was able to win a championship in our inaugural season, the first athletics championship in the history of the school.
