I recently retired after 20+ years flying fighter jets in the USAF. In my second career I am the CFO of an 8-figure corporation after studying at Columbia Business School. My passions are flying and finance. I believe that everyone who joins the military today has the potential to retire a millionaire, but you need to start early and have a plan. While I sacrificed much over my years serving our country, I do not believe in a “doctrine of sacrifice” in all aspects of life. That is, just because you chose to join the military as your profession, it doesn’t mean you need to sacrifice yourself financially. You can be both a dedicated service member, and be financially free. I own multiple businesses spanning different industries including real estate, education, and law. I also believe in giving a hand up to those coming after you. I believe there is an abundance in this life and more for you does not mean less for someone else. This mindset has been crucial to my success. I believe in coaching. Michael Jordan, at the peak of his greatness, had multiple coaches. You don’t have to figure everything out for yourself.
