About Me

Who am I and why in the world would you want advice from me? Is it that, in spite of my nerves and lack of experience, I took over and successfully ran a project from IBM that had 25 instructional designers working on a blended learning program with global impacts while I worked at Capital One? Maybe. Is it that I helped three clients earn coveted a top-5 spot in the coveted Learning!100 awards in the L&D space? (Specifically, T-Mobile (#1 private sector), Ingersoll Rand (#5 private sector) and American Heart Association (#2 public sector).) Maybe. Is it that you can better relate to someone without a college degree or fancy credentials, who’s wrestled with and overcome her own worthiness issues to make over $20k / month? Maybe. Is it that, like I once did, you are exploring the idea of leaving corporate America to make a go of it on your own? Maybe. Is that you did step out on your own, whether full-time or as a side-hustle, and actually got a client – but now don’t have the support you once did with your employer and are wondering how in the world to pull off a training event? Maybe. I’m a self-made woman who is has struggled on my way up and, lord willing, nowhere near done achieving all the great things on my list. I don’t have a fancy college degree but do have over 25-years in the human performance / adult learning space and am grateful to have gotten this kind of feedback over the years: - A manager at Dell told me that our 1:1 coaching prevented them from quitting - I’ve heard from a number of managers that what they and their teams learned in my workshops improved their communication and ultimately saved the jobs of their previously underperforming team members - Not to mention the countless ah-ha moments that individuals shared, explaining how their learning was going to help them both personally and professionally I’m what’s considered a unicorn in the training space, in that I am talented across a LOT of roles. What can I say, when I get really good at something I get bored and need some variation! I started off as both an instructional designer and trainer, then evolved into a facilitator and coach, and eventually earned my stripes as a program manager and consultant. The good news for you is that I collected all that experience across a regional bank, over 30 Fortune 500 companies, as well as a healthy handful of smaller businesses and non-profits. Translation: I’ve seen how a wide variety of orgs operate…build cultures (or not)…coach team members (or not)…employ L&D solutions and what influenced which they were willing to pay for. Any advice I give doesn’t only come from firsthand experience, but a ton of observations along the way. At the end of the day, I am a natural encourager and coach. I’m always looking for ways to pour strength into others. If that’s you, please reach out and I promise to deliver more than you expect.
