Erik Bowman has dedicated over a decade to serving in the United States Air Force. Enlisting in 2012 as a Crew Chief on the cutting-edge F-22 Raptor, Erik’s passion for aviation and service led him to commission as an officer in 2018 through Officer Training School. Now a Captain with 12 years of active duty, he serves as a Combat Systems Officer on the HC-130J Combat King II, a vital platform for combat search and rescue missions. Erik’s ongoing career has taken him across the globe, with deployments to Africa and the Middle East and travels to every continent except Antarctica. His expertise in international relations and military affairs has been honed through hands-on experience and a commitment to understanding complex global dynamics. Recognized for his skill and bravery, Erik has earned three Aerial Achievement Medals and a Humanitarian Medal for his impactful contributions during the Israel-Gaza conflict. Passionate about mentoring others, Erik is a valuable resource for those seeking guidance on military enlisting and commissioning processes, insights into current military and international affairs, and navigating the unique challenges of military family life.
