As the parent of 2 beautiful girls, anxiety often feels like part of the job description. I worry about my health, about being able to provide for them, and about guiding them toward becoming independent and capable in the future and- that's just the beginning. One thing I've learned is that when anxious thoughts arise, you don't have to control them, but you also you don't have to let them control you. You can acknowledge them without letting them steer the wheel. I want to invite to explore some real practical techniques rooted in life experience that have helped me manage anxiety during some incredibly difficult times. At one point, I had to 2 maxed-out credit cards, $14,000 in debt, and credit score of 578. It was one of the most stressful and overwhelming periods, of my life. I felt physically- chest pains, heart palpitations, headaches. Anxiety isn't just in the head, it takes a toll on your body, too. That"s why taking care of both your mental and physical health is so important. Now, I've worked my way back. My credit score is up to 706, and while I still get the occasional palpitations, life style changes and coping techniques have helped me reclaim peace, joy, and precense- specially with my daughters and my amazing wife.
