With three decades of invaluable experience in the film industry ranging from actor, agent, manager, producer to director very few people have successfully worn so many hats and know the business of entertainment from the ground up like Donowho. Brett offers valuable directorial and producorial acumen marked by award-winning productions and global relationships in finance and distribution. When he’s not shooting on-location in some exotic corner of the world, Brett can be found bouncing state to state visiting his three exceptional daughters. From his early years as an agent and COO of Beverly Hills literary and talent agency, Kaplan-Stahler, Brett developed a keen eye for story and a knack for navigating packaging and negotiations. Since then, Donowho has overseen over two dozen features from development to delivery, including his notable work directing Lionsgate’s Acts of Violence—starring Bruce Willis, Cole Hauser, Shawn Ashmore, Sophia Bush, and Mike Epps—and producing and co-directing MGM’s Music Within—starring Ron Livingston, Melissa George, and Michael Sheen. And most recently Nicolas Cage’s first western The Old Way from Saban and Lionsgate. Thus far, Brett has founded or sat on the Board of nearly a dozen prosperous enterprises, brushing elbows with and learning from some of the most influential thinkers in our industry.
