
About Me
Dr. Amber Fahey obtained her master’s degree and Ph.D. in Medical-Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in neuropsychology at University of Alabama Birmingham, Roll Tide! She completed her predoctoral residency at James A. Haley Veterans Hospital, in Tampa, Florida and her two-year post-doctoral fellowship in neuropsychology at Audie L. Murphy VA, in San Antonio, Texas. She is an expert in assessment, diagnostics, and treatment of adults across a broad range of neurological and psychiatric conditions including dementia, autoimmune disorders, Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, traumatic brain injury, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, depression, anxiety, PTSD, personality disorders, and a host of other complex medical conditions. She has specialized training in issues specific to active-duty service members, veterans, individuals 65 years old and older, and caregivers. She has peer reviewed published works on her research in cognitive rehabilitation, traumatic brain jury, epilepsy, post-traumatic stress disorder, and military sexual trauma and has presented at numerous national conferences. Dr. Fahey’s goal is to provide individualized care and help her patients better understand the source of their difficulties, feel empowered to make lifestyle changes if necessary, and/or take the necessary steps to ensure proper care and support for themselves and/or their loved ones.
