About Me
Isaac Garza is an Engineer for the City of Fresno Building and Safety Department. He was born and raised in the Central Valley living in Sanger. At the age of sixteen years old, Isaac began working in the construction industry. He began his career working at an Architectural Firm; drafting, designing, working with clients, and supervising staff for twenty years. For the last five years, Isaac has been employed with the City of Fresno Building and Safety Department, where he started as a Residential Plans Examiner. Then, was promoted to an Engineer position two years ago. He currently reviews all commercial and multifamily plumbing, energy, mechanical designs for California Code compliance, assists with training staff, creating department standards, event permits, and oversees the ADU program for the Building and Safety Department. In 2023, Isaac revised all City of Fresno ADU plans to the current code and adjusted the original designs to make them more economical for the public. He is currently studying and testing to obtain his Architect’s license in California. Isaac’s goal is to provide the public with the best service possible while protecting the public’s life and safety.
