After spending the first 2 decades of my career as a clinician and most recently President and CEO of Caron Treatment Centers I chose to pursue several new startup initiatives aiming to revolutionize the way we deliver behavioral healthcare. Substance Use Disorder (SUD) touches 1 in 3 American families. I have seen it firsthand many times and as CEO, I want to continue providing not just hope to individuals and families, but results. Seventy-five percent of those with a substance use disorder will recover and achieve remission. At one year, recovery is more likely than relapse and at 5 years, a person in recovery is as likely to begin abusing substances as a person who never had a substance use disorder. We need to reset the conversation on SUDs to highlight the promise of recovery and the actualization of it. Before taking on administration-level responsibilities, I started my career as an overnight behavioral health tech and have held several clinical positions. As a result, I am able to bring the rare combination of astute clinical intuition integrated with business acumen to continue to bridge entrepreneurship with world class clinical care. I have expertise in family systems, psychodynamic theory, failure to launch, addiction in high-performance and individuals, as well as multisite, behavioral healthcare management and leadership.
