Hello! I'm Tony 'TNT' Grano, a symbol of resilience, faith, and determination. As a professional heavyweight boxer and NABF champion, I once ranked as the fifth best heavyweight in the world by the WBC. My journey, however, stretches beyond the boxing ring. Inducted into the CT Boxing Hall of Fame in 2023, I'm not just a fighter; I'm a mentor, coach, actor, inventor, devoted father, and a beacon of positivity and humor. From facing the challenges of dyslexia to beating the crap out of any and all bullies I’ve ever faced. Walking into a boxing gym at the late age of 20 to climbing the ranks in heavyweight boxing, my life is a testament to overcoming adversity. My father's wisdom – to never start a fight, but always finish it, and treat others as you wish to be treated – has guided me throughout my journey. My love for athleticism is matched by my passion for acting and inventing. Growing up in a family-owned video store, I explored acting and secured credits towards a SAG card. As an inventor, I hold a utility patent and trademark, constantly striving to create smarter solutions for everyday challenges. I cherish my role as a father to my wonderful daughter, and as the second oldest of five in a big Italian family. My new mission is sharing the sweet science of boxing to boost confidence in the youth and young adults of our nation, teaching them fitness, and self-defense to live empowered lives. In my five-year amateur career (2000-2005), I achieved multiple state and Golden Glove Championships, regional titles, and was the 2005 CT Boxing Hall of Fame Amateur Fighter of the Year. 2005 USA national champion and #1 heavyweight representative USA elite team member. My professional record stands at 20-3-1, 2009 ringside magazine heavyweight fight of the year after knocking out a favored and undefeated Travis Kaufman. 2012 NABF heavyweight champion with a 4th round knockout over DaVarryl Williamson. WBC #5 ranked heavyweight world contender, honored as the 2012 CT Boxing Hall of Fame Professional Fighter of the Year. 11/18/2023 I was officially inducted into the CT Boxing Hall of Fame.
