Odin Benitez | Supervising Sound Editor, Sound Design, Re-recording Mixer & Mentor I’m an Emmy-winning Supervising Sound Editor with over 36 years of experience in feature films, television, immersive experiences, and interactive media. My credits include Frozen, Frozen II, The Fighter, Silver Linings Playbook, Greyhound, and HBO’s The Last of Us. I’ve also been fortunate to work on cutting-edge projects like Arcane for Riot Games and immersive installations for Disney Imagineering. Throughout my career, I’ve shaped sound across genres—from cinematic storytelling to interactive experiences—while leading sound editorial teams and collaborating closely with directors, producers, and creatives at the highest levels, including filmmakers like David O. Russell, Barry Jenkins, and RZA, and executives such as John Lasseter. I’ve also worked directly with actors during ADR sessions to pull authentic, powerful performances, directing talent like Russell Crowe, Jason Momoa, and Octavia Spencer. Beyond production, I’m deeply passionate about teaching and mentorship. I’ve taught graduate-level sound at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts, and worked with rising filmmakers through initiatives like Project Involve and the Moving Picture Institute. I enjoy helping filmmakers and creatives of all experience levels improve their storytelling through sound — from workflow and technical guidance to creative direction and performance-based sound design. I’m continually expanding my toolkit, working with AI-powered audio solutions and integrating sound into interactive platforms like Unreal Engine and Wwise, ensuring my work stays at the forefront of how sound supports story and player experience.
