Michael Co Founded and Funded the National Rugby League Club based on the Gold Coast called the Gold Coast Titans from starting up to Semi Final Top 4 twice in 4 years The Titans admitted entry into the NRL competition on the 27th May 2005 for the 2007 Season after a six (6) year campaign to seek entry; Michael was the driver of the bid campaign and equity raise and was appointed the Founding Managing Director. Michael implemented the business plan including coaching and playing recruitment for the creation of the Titans NRL team including lobbying and sourcing a $160 Million State Government funded Stadium called Skilled Park at Robina. The club made the Top 4 twice in its first four years including making the Preliminary Final in 2010. Michael was also the architect and lead negotiator of the ARL Commission after he personally submitted a strategic plan to the 16 NRL clubs to restructure the game of rugby league in Australia by negotiating with News Limited to exit the game and hand control to a Non Profit Entity in 2012. Michael also lobbied and wrote and designed the economic model and the strategic business plan for the NRL Indigenous All Stars that has raised over $10 million for Indigenous communities since 2010
