My name is Daniel Bradford and I'm currently in active recovery from drugs and alcohol addiction. I was 10 when I had my first drink of alcohol, 13 my first taste of marijuana, at 14 I was smoking methamphetamine and at 17 I had my first taste of opiates in the form of pain pills. for many many years following I progressed from pain pills to heroin to then fentanyl. all at the same time continuing my meth addiction, a short addiction to crack cocaine and pretty much every drug you can think of. I've dealt with homelessness for some time throughout my addiction, lost my family at one point due to my alcoholism and literally lost everything. I am now 42 years old. I work an active recovery program which maintains my daily sobriety and greatly improves my life!! I have tried getting sober many many times since 2018 and even some prior attempts with little to no luck. I have tried every different way of trying to manage and handle my addiction and alcoholism you could think of to no avail. I lived a reckless dangerous lifestyle that could have gotten me killed on a daily basis. but today I work an active program of recovery that works for me and my purpose now in life is to help others with information or direction how to find the other side of recovery and the miracle of it. through my own experience strength and hope I'm hoping to help educate and inform others on the dangers of addiction to anything and everything and I am currently getting my degree in human services with a chemical dependency certificate so I can be a drug and alcohol counselor. I can tell you through my experience on the streets what works and what doesn't work for me. I greatly look forward to helping anyone with any questions for any types of strategies to help get you on the right track and to live a better and more fruitful life as a contributing member of society as I am today with a fulfilling life. not always a perfect life, but much better than I live before. I have also recently been contacted by a producer at A&E Network who has been following me on YouTube and has cast me in one of their upcoming new shows they're going to have coming out about addiction and Recovery.
